Calculus Group, a worldwide technology solutions provider, has entered into a Rs 1000 crore Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HRDS (Highrange Rural Development Society) India to promote AI-driven rural development initiatives. This initiative seeks to empower more than 7 crore families throughout rural India by incorporating advanced technology into essential infrastructure and social welfare projects.

"This is more than an MoU. This is a movement," said Sooraj Vasudevan, Founder and CEO of Calculus Group.

As per the agreement, the Calculus Group will deploy AI-powered solutions in HRDS India's rural development initiatives. The firm, recognized for its AI-powered sanitary products aimed at rural regions, will additionally support housing projects to improve living standards for disadvantaged communities.

The partnership will launch AI-driven sanitation, IoT-supported infrastructure, and eco-friendly digital ecosystems, establishing a new standard for technology-driven rural change.

"Partnering with HRDS INDIA allows us to take a giant step forward in transforming the lives of millions," Mr Vasudevan said.

IoT is utilized in various aspects of everyday life to enhance intelligence and improve efficiency. In smart homes, gadgets such as smart bulbs, thermostats, and security cameras can be managed via smartphones. In healthcare, wearable fitness devices and remote monitoring tools assist in tracking health statuses as they happen.

Intelligent cities utilize IoT for managing traffic, collecting waste, and implementing smart streetlights to enhance urban life. In farming, automated irrigation systems and soil sensors assist farmers in improving crop management.
